Smoke firing is an organic process where the vessels are fired for over 24 hours in a pit in the ground, surrounded by organic combustibles. The smoke vapours mark the polished ceramic surfaces, leaving mottled patterns painted by the flames of the fire. Each item in this collection is unique, and mindfully made in Manchester.
